Foundry LIC Wedding : Jamie & Erik : Long Island City, NY
A Fall wedding at The Foundry, Long Island City in Queens, NY.
If I were to have a re-do of my own wedding, chances are it would be at The Foundry. I'll never forget the first time I shot a wedding here. I had never heard of it! This must have been 2010 or so. I show up in what at that time was the middle of absolute no where to discover something that became a phenomenon in the NYC wedding world. It was the first "cool" wedding venue. Ten years later, I still think it's one of the best.Jamie & Eric obviously poured their hearts and souls into their wedding. It took on my favorite vibe of wedding/dinner party featuring dim sum, bbq, a band playing to the beat of a bass drum with custom decor by the bride, and a ceremony officiated by a dear friend. The Foundry has so many nooks, crannies and balconies which make it literally fun to shoot in.

Prospect Park Boathouse Wedding : Melanie & Andrew : Brooklyn, NY
A Prospect Park Boathouse wedding in Brooklyn, NY is one that surrounds your guests in a magical in-the-city getaway. Unlike the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park which is all about being encircled by iconic NYC sights, Prospect Park's boathouse is surrounded by its mystical emerald green reservoir and dense trees giving an almost fairy tale feeling. It's like you've been whisked away to another world.
It's just this kind of setting that makes for an event where people let loose, throw the rigidity of a typical wedding to the wind and have an amazing party. I hope you'll pick up on the intimate, fun, destination feel of this wedding while being smack dab in the middle of Brooklyn.
Preparations began at the stylish Sixty LES hotel before a first look in the park. A ketubah signing set the stage for the ceremony and the rest is history.

Tribeca Rooftop Wedding : Melissa & Scott : New York, NY
A summer wedding at TriBeCa Rooftop in New York, NY.Melissa & Scott's summer affair in lower Manhattan was stunningly beautiful with greenery strung over the custom dance floor (by Shout! Dance Floor Wraps) which sits under the nighttime sky. With the city towering in the background, they were wed in front of all their family and friends. But not before a first look at the Soho Grand Hotel and photo session in Battery Park! Keeping everything beautifully appointed was Sojourner Auguste and team from Erganic Design along with florist Tinsel Experiential Design.
Roundhouse Beacon Wedding : Katherine & James : Beacon, NY
The Roundhouse in Beacon NY is such a great venue offering all the amenities you might hope for at a wedding in the city but with the amazing charm of the Hudson Valley in a modern industrial space. In the summer, you get the deep green punch of all the trees around against the warmth of the brick which makes for really striking images. At Katherine & James' wedding, everyone was in such great spirits on literally the nicest day of July which made photographing their event a lot of fun!

Park Chateau Wedding : Devin & Joseph : East Brunswick, NJ
Devin & Joseph were married this past June 2019 at the Park Chateau in New Jersey. Driving up to the Park Chateau is amazing - it's like the Taj Mahal/Disney World/Buckingham Palace of wedding venues and a lucky bride and groom have it all to themselves.
